Firefighters Battle Intense Flames; No Injuries Reported |
At approximately 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, the Bedford Fire Department received multiple 911 calls reporting a garage fire at a residence on Meadow Green.
Fire crews from Bedford and the Euless Fire Department responded promptly, with additional support from the Hurst Fire Department to cover other calls in the area.
Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy flames emanating from the garage, which had spread to two vehicles and into the home.
Crews initiated an aggressive fire attack from both the interior and exterior of the structure.
The fire caused severe damage to the garage, both vehicles, and the home itself.
Fortunately, no injuries were reported.
The Bedford Citizens Fire Academy Alumni Association’s Rehab group was on scene to provide hydration and cooling support to the firefighters.
The Bedford Fire Department expressed appreciation for the continued community support and recent donations received during responses to other regional emergencies.
In related news, the Bedford Fire Department has been actively involved in community events and training sessions.
On April 26, 2025, they hosted an open house to recruit and inform residents about volunteer opportunities.
Additionally, on April 1, 2025, they conducted a Narcan Training course, providing free Naloxone kits to attendees.
These initiatives highlight the department's commitment to community engagement and safety.
Residents are reminded to exercise caution with potential fire hazards, especially during the summer months when temperatures can soar.
Ensuring that grills are placed away from structures and that vehicles are maintained properly can help prevent such incidents.
